    Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or technology.

    Last updated: January 2026

    Our commitment

Jamie McKaye is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users.

    Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

We strive to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This means we aim to meet all Level A and Level AA success criteria. We regularly review our website to identify and fix accessibility issues.

    Accessibility features

We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website:

    • Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
    • Skip to main content link for keyboard users
    • Alt text on all meaningful images
    • Sufficient colour contrast ratios (WCAG AA compliant)
    • Enhanced focus indicators for keyboard navigation
    • Responsive design that works on all devices
    • Form labels and error messages for screen readers
    • No content that flashes more than three times per second
    • Touch targets of at least 44x44 pixels on mobile
    • Clear and consistent navigation
    • Respects prefers-reduced-motion for users sensitive to animation
    • Language attribute set on HTML element (en-GB)

    WCAG principles

Our accessibility efforts are guided by the four core WCAG principles:

    Perceivable

Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

    • Text alternatives for non-text content
    • Captions and alternatives for multimedia
    • Content that can be presented in different ways
    • Content that is easier to see and hear

    Operable

User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users.

    • All functionality available from keyboard
    • Users have enough time to read and use content
    • Content does not cause seizures or physical reactions
    • Users can easily navigate and find content

    Understandable

Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.

    • Text is readable and understandable
    • Content appears and operates in predictable ways
    • Users are helped to avoid and correct mistakes

    Robust

Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

    • Compatibility with current and future user tools
    • Valid, semantic HTML markup
    • ARIA attributes used appropriately

    Assistive technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

    • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
    • Screen magnification software
    • Speech recognition software
    • Keyboard-only navigation

    Browser compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.

    Known limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some content may have limitations:

    • Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
    • PDF documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these.
    • Complex interactive features: Some advanced interactive features may have reduced accessibility. We provide alternative ways to access the same information where possible.

    Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly:

    • Conduct accessibility audits
    • Test with real users and assistive technologies
    • Train our team on accessibility best practices
    • Update our code to meet evolving standards
